Meet Julie

Julie Funderburk is author of The Door That Always Opens (LSU Press) and the chapbook Thoughts to Fold into Birds (Unicorn Press). She is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Queens University of Charlotte. Her poems appear in The Southern Review, Blackbird, Ecotone, Pleiades, and elsewhere. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Writers’ Network and is the recipient of fellowships from the North Carolina Arts Council and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
